PSNI launching criminal investigation into allegations around treatment and care provided to residents at Dunmurry Manor care home.

We promised we would keep working on Dunmurry Manor care home. We have a big story to deliver to you today. We can reveal the police has now launched a criminal investigation into allegations around treatment and care provided to residents at Dunmurry Manor care home. It is the understanding of this programme that this criminal investigation will be wide ranging - and that the police are determined to go where the evidence leads them. Stephen spoke to Julie Anne, her grandmother was in the care home, and got reaction from Sinn Fein MLA Colm Gildernew, SDLP MLA Mark H Durkan and the Commissioner for Older People Eddie Lynch.

Also on the programme, a 12-month scheme allowing taxis to use bus lanes in Belfast has been put on hold. Earlier this year the Department for Infrastructure said it had planned to introduce the trial before the Belfast Rapid Transit System launches next week. It would allow class A, private hire taxis to use the lanes. But since the recent Buick Judicial Review judgment clarified the position regarding the decisions civil servants can and cannot take in the absence of Ministers the scheme has been scrapped for now. Stephen spoke to Alliance MLA Kellie Armstrong, commentator Newton Emerson and taxi driver Ken Kelly.

And, in this lovely hot summer we've been having, there's nothing nicer than a stroll along the seafront. Malachi O'Doherty was doing just that at the weekend in Ballycastle, but says his peace was disturbed by "bloody Christians". Stephen spoke to him and David Smyth from the Evangelical Alliance.
