This story - Scaling Never - was the basis for Carys Bray's triumphant first novel, A Song for Issy Bradley, which was broadcast on Book At Bedtime on BBC Radio 4.

Carys Bray's collection of short stories, Sweet Home, won the 2012 Scott Prize.
