Families split, and America divided: different views of the migrant debate

President Trump’s zero tolerance immigration policy has polarised opinion in the US.  BBC Mundo reporter Patricia Sulbaran followed the story of 11 year old Honduran Brayan, separated from his father.  Brazilian Hugo Bachega visited a small town in Ohio which recently saw raids on undocumented Mexicans working there, a move residents support.

On the road in Georgetown
The South American nation of Guyana is on the brink of change, with the discovery of giant oil reserves off the coast.  But for now, ordinary life goes on, and in the capital Georgetown, horsedrawn carts mingle with 4x4s, and minibuses dodge cows and goats.  Reporter Carinya Sharples has been on the road.

In search of Yarsagumba
Yarsagumba is believed to cure impotence, cancer and other ailments and can fetch $100,000 a kilo, more than gold.  The fungus is only found in remote parts of the  Himalayas - so BBC Gujarati’s Neha Sharma and Aamir Peerzada set off on an expedition to Nepal to find it.  

Addis Ababa to Asmara 2018
Ethiopian Airlines has resumed flights between Ethiopia and Eritrea for the first time since 1998, a sign of rapid thaw in relations between the two countries.  Kalkidan Yibeltal of BBC Amharic was on the inaugural flight – his first visit to Eritrea.  He shares his impressions.  

Goodbye Greyhounds in Macau
Greyhound racing in Macau ended this month, closing a chapter on the former Portuguese colony's gambling history.  But for now what’s got people talking is what will happen to the 600 greyhounds.  Martin Yip of BBC Chinese has been following the story.

My Hometown: Sumgait, Azerbaijan
Famil Ismailov of BBC Russian grew up in Sumgait in Azerbaijan.  He recalls the smells of the nearby factories, evenings on the beachfront with friends and family, and tea-drinking.
