Lovely Mossy is unwell. The whole family arrives to support Grandma, but sadly Mossy dies.

Live-action children's show. Lovely Mossy is unwell. The whole family arrives to support Grandma, but sadly Mossy dies. Everyone fondly remembers time spent with Mossy.

After school, Tim goes to the vet's with Dad. Grandma has been waiting there all day as her lovely dog, Mossy, is very unwell. She explains that the vet, John, is doing tests on Mossy to see what's wrong with her and what can be done to treat her. Dad suggests it'll be a long wait and he should take Tim home, but Tim is determined to stay with Grandma. Dad phones Mummy to let her know what's happening.

Just then, DIY Derek arrives with his little dog Teddy, who needs flea treatment. Tim helps DIY Derek weigh Teddy and when the vet calls for Teddy to go in to the consulting room for her treatment, Tim goes too and watches with interest. The vet puts the flea treatment on Teddy's back, between the shoulder blades.

Derek leaves, and then Topsy and Mummy arrive. They all want to know how Mossy is getting on. John announces that they have finished the tests and now they can see Mossy. The family are sad to see Mossy so sleepy and unwell but they give her special, gentle hugs and tell her how much they love her. Soon, they leave for home and Grandma stays at the vet's.

Dad suggests they finally go to the car wash to cheer themselves up. The children love the car wash but they can't stop thinking about Mossy.

That evening, Topsy and Tim are playing a game with Dad in Topsy's bedroom when the phone rings. It's Grandma. Mummy and Dad return with the terribly sad news that Mossy has died. The family are sad but remember fond times with lovely old Mossy.
