Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has appealed to the militants to enter peace talks

The Afghan government has urged the Taliban to follow its lead and extend a ceasefire between their forces. In a televised address, President Ashraf Ghani said there was no justification for continued fighting. Also on the programme the ship Aquarius, containing over 600 migrants, has arrived in the port of Valencia and we profile Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the frontrunner in the forthcoming elections in Mexico.
