Nikki Bedi explores the pomp and pageantry of a royal marriage

The marriage of Britain’s Prince Henry to America’s Meghan Markle is the union of two people who love each other.  It’s also pomp and pageantry, theatre and a global TV spectacular.

With the help of Royal Historian Christopher Warwick, BBC Royal Correspondent Jonny Dymond and the Victorian historian Helen Rappaport, Nikki discusses whether royalty should be showbiz, the challenges of turning royal lives into primetime drama and finds out how other countries treat their Royals. 

We’ll also be hearing from Eleri Lynn, Curator of the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection for Historic Royal Palaces;   Anders Christian Madsen, the fashion critic at British Vogue; film critic Karen Krizanovich; and Mariko Oi reports from Japan.
