A year following Angus Morrison, moderator of the Church of Scotland.

Documentary following Angus Morrison for a year, as he is catapulted from parish minister and into the spotlight as the moderator of the Church of Scotland.

A year following Angus Morrison as he is catapulted from parish minister and into the spotlight as the moderator of the Church of Scotland. The moderator is the national figurehead of the Church of Scotland who chairs the General Assembly and represents the church nationally and internationally. 

Born in Glencoe and raised in Oban, he is the first Gaelic-speaking moderator in almost 50 years. After withdrawing due to illness in 2014, Angus was then chosen again as Moderator for the year 2015-2016.

This programme follows his experience in the role. From opening the Royal National Mòd in his hometown of Oban, to making history at the Church of England's Synod, to visits to the Scottish Parliament to meet the leaders of the political parties. A year like no other Angus' life will change beyond recognition as he travels the length of the country.
