Alojz is originally from Slovakia and he is trying to find his place in Year 7. He is helped by a good friend from primary, Finley, and by Miss Hammond, who supports him in his efforts to learn English. 

Meanwhile, Mr Tipping the art teacher launches an exciting new project for the whole of Year 7 - an art selfie. The idea is that each of them has to try to capture their personality in the form of a portrait which two students from another form group will then try to match up with the artist responsible.
