After seven years of conflict, has the world let the Syrian people down?

The Syrian civil war began in 2011 as a peaceful uprising against the country's president. But over 340,000 people have died. Nomia asks if the Syrian people have been let down.

After seven years of civil war, Nomia asks if the world has let Syrian people down? After that, do you ever commemorate Commonwealth Day? It celebrates the nations in the Commonwealth many of which used to be part of the British Empire. Nomia will speak to Inderjeet Singh Nijhar who will be taking part in a ceremony today. Then hear from one of Britain's first hijabi catwalk models, Shahira Yusuf. She will be talking about the hijab being embraced by the fashion industry, along with Mariah Idrissi, a hijabi model featured in a H&M campaign. And A Game of Love and Chai is a new play touring the UK, based on a marriage between two modern day Asian families. Hear from the director Jatinder Verma, and two of the cast Goldy Notay and Sharon Singh.
