When Sophie is knocked over by a car, she is offered a salon by way of compensation.

On her way back from Hull station following a failed attempt to get onto the Vidal Sassoon hairdressing course in London, Sophie is knocked over by a car. 

By way of compensation the driver, Alison, a frequent church-goer, offers Sophie a disused hair salon that she has access to thanks to her church's outreach work. 

Sophie accepts Alison's offer. But with only a week to make it a going concern, will she manage to make a success of it?

Starring Lucy Beaumont and Maureen Lipman.
