Lauren welcomes Leeds band Hookworms to the 6 Music Live Room, we put another listener in charge of the tunes at the Desert Island Disco, and we have the latest film news.

Lauren welcomes Hookworms to the 6 Music Live Room. 

The five-piece have just released their third album, Microshift, which was recorded in singer MJ's re-built home studio (re-built because the previous incarnation was destroyed by the 2015 Leeds floods).

Unlike Hookworm's previous two albums, which focus on their live sound, Microshift came to life in the studio and is formed from loops, modular synthesizer sequences, drum machines and homemade samples.

Lauren also puts another listener in charge of the tunes at the Desert Island Disco; there's more new music for the Just Added playlist; a Headphones Moment; plus the latest film news and reviews.
