BBC Radio Scotland - The Quay Sessions, Field Music & Out Lines

Sunderland's Field Music and Scotland's Out Lines share the Quay Stage.

Field Music preview songs from their new album Open Up, and Out Lines share highlights from their recent, critically acclaimed album Conflats.

Roddy Hart's guests this week are Field Music and Out Lines.

Field Music are back in 2018 with a brand new album Open Up and they preview the new songs on the show. The Sunderland band are led by brothers Peter and David Brewis and their music is an eclectic and intelligent art-pop cocktail.

Also performing live are Out Lines, the new collaborative project between SAY Award-winning Kathryn Joseph and The Twilight Sad's James Graham with acclaimed producer Marcus Mackay. The trio's album, Conflats, is a collection of songs inspired by conversations Kathryn and James had with inhabitants of Glasgow's Easterhouse estate and has been described as 'a powerful testament to the strength and beauty of the human spirit'.
