The death of a teenage girl inspired Iranian-born Payam Akhavan to become a human rights lawyer. 

South African Romain Pizzi is the first person to have performed brain surgery on a bear. His day job, however, is filled with hedgehogs and seals in Scotland. Outlook's Joel Cox went to meet him.
