Mahira is one of country's most popular and highest-paid actresses; and the recipient of several awards, including Lux Style Awards and Hum Awards.

She started her career as a VJ in 2006. She made her screen debut opposite Atif Aslam in the hit romance Bol in the year 2011. She rose to prominence with a starring role in Humsafar which earned her a Lux Style Award for Satellite Best TV Actress and Hum Award for Best Onscreen Couple.
