When visitors came to the Coyle front door, the men would knock on the door as they were opening it and call out the name of the man of the house. The women would say 'Yoo hoo!'. The Pawnbroker wonders what it means when someone from Derry says 'You're well mended'. Janet says it's similar to 'You fell into the beef'. Did Sean ever tell you the story of the smoking man who came into his house? Mickey in Belfast has a garden gnome outside his house with a sign saying 'Go Away'.
