Reports from Catalonia put in doubt an independence decision.

Reports from Catalonia say the regional government there may not declare independence from Spain this week, after all. 

The BBC's Tom Burridge saw a rally in Barcelona against Catalonian independence, while Pedro Schwartz, a professor of economics at the University of Madrid, says unilateral independence could hurt the region's economy.

A ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of the death of Ernesto 'Che' Guevara has been held in the city of Santa Clara, where he led rebels to victory in a decisive battle of the Cuban revolution. The BBC's Will Grant says he is still seen as a hero in Cuba.
