As he left for Nevada, president Trump said the attack was a "very sad thing".

The president's visit comes three days after a retired man shot dead fifty-eight people attending a music festival in the city. Also: politicians in the European parliament warn Catalonia not to declare independence unilaterally, and the dangers of wearing a moustache in the Indian state of Gujarat.
