German exit polls show Chancellor Merkel's party has emerged as the largest in parliament

Exit polls in Germany show Merkel's centre-right party has emerged as the largest in federal parliament.

Exit polls in Germany show that Chancellor Angela Merkel's centre-right party will again be the largest in the federal parliament. Both major parties appear to have registered their lowest ever levels of popular support.
