Owen Bennett Jones introduces dispatches from around the world - with stories from Iraq, Kenya, the Philippines and Australia. 

In Qaraqosh, 30km southeast of Mosul, Iraqi security forces have broken the control of the Islamic State group - but now the question is how to deal with people accused of collaborating with it, or even fighting for it. Yolande Knell reports from the overloaded courts trying dozens of alleged IS supporters every day.

Humphrey Hawksley meets a face from the past, as he meets up again with Gregorio Honasan in Manila. In 1987, Humphrey Hawksley was the BBC correspondent in the Philippines - and witnessed many of Honasan's attempted coups against civilian leaders after Marcos. The former "pop idol" of the armed forces is now an elected  senator - but he regrets few of his past interventions in the country's politics.
