Tilly takes part in the famous Long Beach barbecue competition. She sends Megan and Holly off to spy on the competitors while she gets to work.

Matilda and the Ramsay bunch are spending the summer in Los Angeles, and Tilly is learning everything that Californian cooking has to offer. She is taking part in the famous Long Beach barbecue competition. Up against some extremely experienced and super-serious cooks, her food will need to cut the mustard if it's to stand any chance against the barbecue kings of America's west coast. Tilly sends sisters Megan and Holly off to spy on the competitors while she gets to work. Her plan to win the competition is to make a succulent pulled pork sandwich with some windy baked beans on the side, but to give it the winning touch she's going to make an amazing barbecue sauce with a special Tilly twist to go with it. Tilly makes her secret sauce using some of her favourite British ingredients, like brown sauce, English mustard powder and tea! With the winner about to be announced, dad Gordon and mum Tana arrive to give some moral support, and Tilly makes some gooey, yummy bananas in pyjamas for them all to enjoy before they hear the results. Will Tilly be crowned American barbecue queen?
