There is anger over plans to cut the budget for training specialist nurses by £1m.

There is anger over plans to cut the budget for training specialist nurses at Ulster University by £1m.

The BBC has learned that the Department of Health is planning to cut the training budget for specialist nurses at Ulster University by £1m - that's a reduction of 58 per cent. It's understood the University is writing to the department today insisting it simply can't survive cuts of this scale. 

Four people are due in court in Derry and Strabane today on charges linked to a major police investigation into organised crime, including drugs and money-laundering. It follows a two-day police operation this week involving hundreds of officers.
