British police confirm one London attacker was supporter of extremist Islamist group

British police have confirmed that one of the three London Bridge attackers was a well-known supporter of an Islamist extremist group. 

A diplomatic rift between Qatar and neighbouring states is threatening to disrupt air travel across the Gulf region.
