Lauren Laverne presents live from the Great Escape Festival in Brighton with live music, guests and a very special DJ taking over the decks at the Desert Island Disco.

BBC Music packs its knapsack and heads to the seaside for The Great Escape, a festival jam packed with new and about to be discovered artists that naturally appeals to the inquisitive minds and ears of the 6 Music family. As part of the celebrations, Lauren will be live at the festival, with brilliant music, guests and a very special DJ will be taking over the decks at the Desert Island Disco

Across the weekend The Great Escape will showcase 450 emerging artists from all over the world and 6 Music is hosting its very own Recommends stage at the Paganini Ballroom. This year we'll be welcoming some wonderful artists to the stage and we'll be sharing their incredible music with Festival goers and 6 Music Listeners alike. 

Lauren, Lammo, Ravers and Mary Anne will be bringing you coverage of the festival across the weekend as will our colleagues over at Radio 1 and BBC Introducing
