President Trump has pledged to renegotiate, not scrap, the NAFTA trade deal.

President Trump has been open about his disdain for the North Atlantic Trade Agreement. Mark Warner a Toronto-based trade layer involved in the successful negotiations leading to CETA, the deal between Canada and the European Union - comments on whether Mr Trump is right about NAFTA being a horrible deal for the US?

Some of the biggest names in tech, like Amazon, Intel, and Alphabet, reported quarterly earnings on Thursday evening. Alexandra Suich writes about tech for The Economist in San Francisco and explains the results.

Around a third of the world's fish are now in danger of extinction from overfishing - according to the UN's Food and Agriculture Organisation. Stocks of bluefin tuna have fallen by 97 per cent in some parts of the world - but demand is higher than ever, especially in Japan, where bluefin is a sought-after ingredient in sushi. So could farming provide a business solution to the problem? Edwin Lane has been travelling through Japan to meet a bluefin-farming visionary in Wakayama province.

The BBC's Cindy Sui reports from Taipei in Taiwan on where the government has come up with a scheme, offering to pay Taiwanese talent to come home.
