The British Prime Minister is to trigger the formal process of withdrawing from the EU.

The European Union is facing the biggest challenge in the sixty years of its existence with the exit of one of its largest members.  British Prime Minister Theresa May triggers today the formal process of withdrawing the UK from the 28-member union. Newshour will be on air with a special programme at 1100 GMT to cover this highly significant moment in European history, with reaction from across Britain, Europe and around the world.
