"Propaganda on steroids" and cyber attacks were used to interfere, US senators say

The US Senate Intelligence Committee begins investigations into whether Russia interfered to determine last year's election result.

An investigation into alleged meddling in last year's US election accuses Russia of a concerted propaganda campaign, along with cyber attacks, to affect the result. Peter Stevenson of the Washington Post tells us more. 

Ousted South Korean President Park Geun-hye has been arrested and taken into custody over a corruption scandal that led to her dismissal. Jonathan Cheng of the Wall Street Journal in Seoul explains what's next for the ex-premier and the South Korean presidency.

Brazilian politics is also mired in a scandal to rival the US hit TV show "House of Cards". The latest casualty is the man who orchestrated the ousting of Dilma Rousseff, former speaker of the lower house Eduardo Cunha. He has now been sentenced to 15 years in prison in connection with a deal to buy exploration rights for the national oil giant Petrobras in West Africa.

Plus we speak to inventor David Neevel who got so fed up with President Trump's tweets, he created a device to print and burn every one of them as they appear.
