Judy and Arnold can’t stop fighting, even though it’s affecting their teenage son Daniel badly. Daniel has learning difficulties and the tensions between his parents are tearing him apart. Set in the 1990s in a rural community engulfed by a forest fire, the play explores a marriage in disintegration.

Joanne Gutknecht’s powerful play from Canada was the winner of the English as a First Language Prize in the BBC World Service/British Council International Radio Playwriting Competition 2016.
