Ricky Ross talks to John Bird, Big Issue founder and member of the House of Lords.

Member of the House of Lords and hugely successful entrepreneur, John Bird was born into poverty, imprisoned for theft as a teenager and homeless in Edinburgh by 21. He turned his life around and in September 1991 launched The Big Issue, transforming the fortunes of countless homeless people. 

Leaving your body to medical research has been in the headlines following the deaths of two high profile Scottish figures. 
Ricky discusses the ethics and dilemmas of donation with Dr David Shaw Senior Research Fellow at the University of Basel, Professor Colin Smith Director of the Edinburgh Brain Bank, and Sarah Nicholson, lecturer in Biblical Studies at Glasgow University.
