Radio 1 meets three vloggers with life-limiting illnesses.

Radio 1 meets three vloggers with life-limiting illnesses and finds out what it is like to fight their condition while posting every step of the journey online.

What's it like to fight a life-limiting illness and post every step of the journey online? We meet three vloggers doing just this. With unreserved honesty, Fiona, Laura and May broadcast their daily struggles with treatment on digital platforms.

From sharing videos of colostomy bag fittings and head scarf tutorials right through to shocking videos listing the numerous organs that will be removed in surgery, nothing is hidden from their digital audience as they capture the reality of what life is like with a terminal illness. 

And all three have their own personal milestones to reach: Laura hopes to stay well enough to make it to her dream wedding day; Fiona is battling to stay alive against a rare type of cancer; and leukemia sufferer May is searching for a matching donor.

With the roller-coaster of emotions they're on, social media acts as an outlet on which they can vent their frustrations, anger, highs and lows. In My Digital Death we'll see how they cope with the unique pressures of their illnesses and how their thousands of social media followers help them through their fight for life.
