Four junior bakers attempt to create a salted caramel cake.

Sam and Mark host as four junior bakers compete for the quarter-finals. Alex, Hafsa, James and Megan attempt the technical challenge of making a salted caramel cake.

Judges Graham and Allegra set the latest batch of bakers, Alex, Hafsa, James and Megan, the technical challenge of making a presentation cake in the form of a salted caramel cake. It should have a delicate sponge and the caramel, used for sandwiching the middle and for flavouring the exterior buttercream, must be of exactly the right consistency, or the whole cake could be ruined! For their show-stoppers, the bakers are challenged to create biscuits that represent their love of music.
