According to a survey by a wedding website, there has been a rise in the number of men seeking permission from their future bride's father or parents before proposing. We speak to Daisy Amodio from The Proposers, a company that helps bridegrooms to plan how best to pop the question.

Sales of luxury pet food are growing faster than any other part of the pet food market. Tesco is extending a trial of its fresh pet luxury line and another brand, Sheba, is offering posh soups and broths for cats. So does paying a little extra guarantee that your pet is eating more healthily? Our reporter visits a large pet shop where top end food includes salmon and herring with herbs and frozen yogurt is popular as a luxury treat for dogs.

This in turn can then lead to threatening bailiff letters and even cause problems with getting a mortgage or a job. Winifred Robinson speaks to a woman who says her mortgage application was rejected after Vodafone wrongly attached a black mark to her credit score.
