Retired astronaut Commander Chris Hadfield joins Janice ahead of his visit to Edinburgh.

Commander Chris Hadfield talks to Janice ahead of his visit to Edinburgh, Susan Calman pops into the Glasgow studio, and Janice hears about Picnic at Hanging Rock at the Lyceum.

Chris Hadfield was the first Canadian to walk in space. He's coming to Edinburgh's Usher Hall on the 20th of January, so he's calling Janice live on air this Tuesday to talk about his adventures, his vision of our planet which he's done so much to share with school children, the public and high profile figures alike, and his inspirational stories of his five month stay on the International Space Station. We'll also hear songs from his famous 'Space Sessions' album, recorded after people became enchanted by his guitar strumming and singing live from space, including his tribute to David Bowie, a cover version of Space Oddity.

We'll talk to Director Matthew Lutton and two of the actors from Picnic at Hanging Rock, Matthew's adaptation of the famous 1967 Australian novel by Joan Lindsay which told the tale of school girls and their teacher who vanished into a mountainside during a picnic. It's been described as horrifying and terrifying... we'll give you a wee taste of it and you can decide if you're brave enough to see it on the stage.
