The flight data recorder of the Russian military airliner which crashed has been located, Russian officials say.

The Russian Defence Ministry says rescue workers have found a flight recorder from the military plane that crashed into the Black Sea over the weekend.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is in Hawaii, meeting with outgoing US President Barack Obama. A Japanese attack on the Pearl Harbor naval base in 1941 led to US military involvement in World War Two.

Government officials from China, Pakistan and Russia are meeting in Moscow to discuss the security situation in Afghanistan.
