Another opportunity to enjoy some of the successful choirs from the 2016 Western Isles Mod

Cathy MacDoanld introduces another opportunity to enjoy some wonderful choral singing from the 2016 Royal National Mod. It is Scotland's premier festival celebrating Gaelic songs and cultural heritage, and this year returned to the Western Isles.

The choral competitions were again keenly contested with a high standard of singing for each prize. Included in this programme will be all the choirs who took part in the Lovat and Tullibardine competition, including the eventual winners Dingwall Gaelic Choir under the direction of Kirsteen Menzies.

Margrat Duncan Memorial Trophy winners Lochaber Gaelic Choir are also featured, along with other prize-winning choirs including Back District Choir, Lochs Gaelic Choir, Glasgow Islay Gaelic Choir and Inverness Gaelic Choir.
