From Snooker in Soho with Ronnie O'Sullivan to the language of cricket in Zimbabwe.

Ronnie O'Sullivan is often called the greatest snooker player of all time. But he is almost equally well-known for his antics away from the table and his troubled background. His father ran a string of illegal sex shops before being jailed for murder in the early 1990s. Ronnie first played snooker in Soho, when that area of London was dominated by the sex industry. This is the setting of his first novel Framed. He gave the BBC's Arts Editor Will Gompertz a tour of this world. 

Rugby Welfare
Before Fiji's Rugby Players take to the field to face England at Twickenham later today they pay tribute to Isireli Temo. The Fijian, who played for Tarbes in France died last week at the age of 30. For many players from the Pacific, the move to Europe is a difficult transition. The former Samoa captain Dan Leo has launched a programme to help players settle into their new environment.
 
Rowing the Pacific 
Sarah Outen is the first woman to row solo from Japan to Alaska - a distance of more than 7,000 kilometres. But it needed two attempts and took quite a toll on body and mind, and her boat Gulliver.

Next Stop Kick-Off
In Atlanta the Soccer in the Streets foundation aims to change the lives of disadvantaged youngsters through sport. When one of the biggest hurdles to participation was found to be actually getting to pitches, most of which are located away from the city, the solution was simple. You set up the soccer centres at stops on Atlanta's metro system. 
 
The Language of Cricket
Invented by the English, cricket can seem to have its own unique language. In Zimbabwe the expansion of cricket commentary in local languages has proved challenging for broadcasters but it is helping to spread interest in the game. We meet some of the pioneering commentators.

Brain Versus Body 
The world's best marathon runners are slim and wiry, but can personality also be a factor in success? Glen Geher and Harbert Okuti believe so and are carrying out research at the State University of New York.
