US Surgeon General says 21 million Americans struggle with an addiction problem - Vivek Murthy said "we should help everyone see that addiction is not a character flaw, it is a chronic illness that we must approach with the same skill and compassion with which we approach heart disease, diabetes, and cancer". 

Japan's PM Shinzo Abe becomes the first world leader to meet President Elect Trump. And, a folding bicycle helmet made from recycled paper has just won this year's international James Dyson Award.
