Tim visits Tony Welch's house for a playdate and meets Tony's best friend Sam.

Live-action children's show. Tim visits Tony Welch's house and meets Tony's best friend Sam. Tim begins to feel left out so goes to help Mr Welch in the garden.

Tim arrives at Tony Welch's house for a playdate. After a snack, the boys play 'sofa attack', until Mr Welch suggests they play something else which won't disturb Tony's brother, little Jack. Tim suggests hide-and-seek and sets off to hide in Tony's bedroom.

As he is waiting to be found, Tim hears the doorbell and a boy called Sam arrives. Tony and Sam are best friends at school. Sam has come to play while his mother runs an urgent errand. The boys continue to play hide-and-seek, but soon Tim feels left out so he slopes off downstairs on his own.

Mr Welch realises what's going on and suggests Tim helps him with a DIY job in the garden. Tim helps Mr Welch make concrete. Later, Sam and Tony help too. The boys start to bond - and then, together, the boys hold a laundry drier steady and straight, as Mr Welch pours in the concrete to secure it to the ground.

Tim changes into some of Tony's clothes when his uniform gets a bit mucky and, after a drink, Mr Welch suggests the boys draw faces in the setting concrete. Mr Welch takes a photo of the boys and Tim asks him to send it to his Mummy and Dad.

Whilst they are eating tea, Topsy phones. She loves the photo and asks if, once she is better, she can come and play at Tony's next time. Tim suggests she meets Sam too - he is great fun.
