Writer Doug Johnstone's new novel, Crash Land, is set against the dramatic Orkney landscape, a psychological thriller with a hefty dose of shame, guilt, and lust.

RBS released their new polymer £5 notes on Thursday. Adorning them are beautiful illustrations by Glasgow based designer, Stuart Kerr who will be in studio with Janice. He risked his life to draw mackerel; a strange subject to choose when you have a fish allergy! 

Glasgow's Birds of Paradise Theatre Company, have an exciting new collaborative theatre piece with Hong Kong, involving performers working across time zones and continents. Miranda and Caliban is directed by Robert Gale and stars Paul Cunningham both will be in to tell us about rehearsing via Skype and more.

And in this week's Tuesday Review, Kirsty Logan and Doug Johnstone are joined by journalist Jonathan Whitelaw to give their verdicts on Paul Beatty's Man Booker winning novel, The Sellout, The Scottish National Portrait Gallery's exhibition of landscape photography The View From Here; and Netflix's new big budget drama The Crown.
