Russia Pauses Aleppo Airstrikes

Aleppo residents say the skies are calm on Thursday at start of humanitarian pause.

Aleppo residents say there have been no Russian aircraft in the skies over the city, as a brief ceasefire begins, to allow rebels and civilians to leave.

The Iraqi Prime Minister says an offensive to drive so-called Islamic State fighters from Mosul is progressing more quickly than expected. We hear from our correspondent near the battlefront.
