30,000 troops advance on Mosul; Hitler’s house; Duck therapy

The first day of fighting in the battle for Mosul has seen Iraqi and Kurdish forces advance towards the city.

As the battle for Mosul begins there have been warnings about threat to the civilian population.  With approximately 30,000 Iraqi troops advancing on Iraq’s second city humanitarian groups have warned about innocent people being caught in the crossfire.
