Jones manipulates Whitewood's version of the past to argue that Alexander Kincaid's research could have helped humans defend themselves against wolfbloods, but Jana recalls things differently and shares her memory of how frightened Kincaid was of wolfbloods, and why he hated them so much. 

Jones insists that Jana played a role in his disappearance, and in a moment of frustration, Jana's eyes flash yellow. Jones now believes that his point has been proven - wolfbloods cannot control their wolf and are not to be trusted.
