Marc Riley is joined by singer-songwriter Scott Fagan, who plays his debut 6 Music session.

Scott Fagan joins Marc Riley for his debut session on 6 music, a moment he's only been working up to for 48 years.

Originally released on ATCO in November 1968, singer-songwriter Scott Fagan's bewitching debut album, South Atlantic Blues, is an epic song cycle about Fagan's hard-scrabble life in the Virgin Islands. He was raised and lived there until he was 19 when he returned to his birthplace, New York City.

That Scott Fagan never became a major star is mystifying. That even cult success eluded him is all the more surprising. But he's not going to get away from Marc that easy.
