Carlos Slim is one of the richest and most powerful men on the planet. 30 years ago he launched a foundation to help the people of Latin America. Since then the Carlos Slim Foundation has spent billions of dollars on initiatives to help bridge the gap between rich and poor, especially in his home country of Mexico. In a rare interview Mr Slim explains how he thinks the money he donates is best spent and Horizons looks at some of the projects that are helping make lives better for millions of people.
