Martha sets out to prove that she has what it takes to become a human rights lawyer.

Comedy series. When Mrs Lazarus suggests Martha may not have what it takes to become a human rights lawyer, a defiant Martha sets about proving her wrong.

Lily, Martha and Jas are bright but socially awkward 13-year-old girls, trying to make sense of life, boys and fitting in. While other girls are going to parties, netball practice and sleepovers, our inseparable trio are busy with chess club, homework and Friday nights in watching documentaries.

Martha eagerly anticipates the visit of the careers guidance counsellor Mrs Lazarus, as it is the perfect opportunity to help her finally decide upon a future career. When the mean-spirited Mrs Lazarus suggests Martha may not have what it takes to become a human rights lawyer and tells her to 'aim lower', a defiant Martha sets about proving her wrong.

Jas is upset that the school snack vending machine has now been designated for the use of sixth formers only. Martha sees this as a perfect opportunity to prove to Mrs Lazarus just what she can achieve. Encouraged by her mother, Martha sets out to prove it's an infringement of Jas's human rights to deny her access to her favourite snacks. She lobbies for a meeting with the school governors, only to find herself pitted against her own mother, who happens to be chair of the governors.
