Verizon is reviewing its Yahoo takeover fearing extra costs from hacking.

Verizon is reviewing its Yahoo takeover fearing extra costs from the hacking of details of 500 million users.

The US telecom giant Verizon is reviewing its Yahoo takeover, fearing extra costs after hackers obtained the details of 500 million users. Yahoo claims the cyber attack was state sponsored and it only uncovered the security breach while investigating another hack last month. Verizon, which is tying up a deal to buy most of Yahoo's business, says it only found out about the hack attack two days ago. Internet Security expert Alex Holden explains why Yahoo took so long to realise it had been infiltrated.

India has signed a deal with France to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets at a cost of nearly $9 billion. It is one of the biggest ever for the French aerospace industry and as BBC India Business Correspondent Shilpa Kannan explains New Delhi wants to update its ageing Soviet era military equipment. 

Irish farmers are worried their business could suffer after the UK leaves the European union, as exports to one of their biggest markets could be at risk. One of Europe's biggest outdoor events, the National Ploughing Championships at Screggan, in the Irish Midlands, has given Ireland's farmers the opportunity to get together to air their views on the challenges they face. The BBC's Diarmaid Fleming attended the agricultural event to hear more about the possible impact of Brexit on farmers in Ireland.
