Australia blocks power grid sale to Chinese bidders over security concerns

Australian finance minister Scott Morrison, has rejected a bid from two Chinese investors to buy the country's biggest electricity network.

Australia is in global terms China's neighbour and they're firm trading partners. But it seems that partnership has limits.
Australia's finance minister has blocked a bid by the State Grid Corporation to get a 50.4% controlling stake in Ausgrid. The deal was worth a reported $7.5 billion. We talk to Hans Hendrishke, Professor of Chinese Business and Management at the University of Sydney. Meanwhile, we also look into modern day slavery.
