Friday is the start of the red grouse shooting season - known among enthusiasts as the Glorious Twelfth. Some environmental campaigners argue that driven grouse shooting encourages the killing off of other wildlife, like stoats and hares and that the practice of burning heather off the grouse moors leads to flooding and more carbon dioxide in the environment. But game keepers and others working in the industry say they help to maintain biodiversity and bring jobs and economic benefits to remote rural areas. 

This week we're looking at all things equine. Around three and half million of us ride horses - many at dedicated pony trekking centres. One trekking centre in the Vale of Glamorgan is using horses to engage with children with social and behavioural difficulties - giving them the chance to gain hands on experience with horses. We meet students and teachers at the St. Bride's Major Riding and Trekking Centre.
