In this chapter of his scrapbook, Roy explores the joy, fun and complications of having a crush and first love. It's a biggie for Roy - when you're growing up a cartoon boy, weird things can happen. Some things you can see, and other things take you by surprise - like the way you feel! Roy remembers his big crush on his nemesis Cathy, as well as his first kiss with Tara, where Becky gave him the worse advice ever and he ended up drooling on her. He ended up floating like a balloon and had to be brought back to earth - with a bang! 

Roy sees himself as a bit of an expert matchmaker and lists the times he's helped people, from Miss Jervis and Mr Lucey to Becky - although Becky sees Roy's meddling a little differently! Roy learns that getting your heart broken is part of growing up and although it can hurt, it's worth it! And there's somebody out there for everybody. No need to rush, there's lots of time to find them too! Can you smell that? Love is in the air, or is that sausages?
