Sir Paul McCartney on losing all the new demo tapes in Lagos, Baaba Mal performs live, and Alicia Keys talks about her latest album.

The great Sir Paul McCartney tells John Wilson what happened in Lagos, Nigeria, when he was recording with his post-Beatles band Wings, and how he just happened to lose all the new demo tapes (not, he confesses that they were that good). British Asian actor Sir Ben Kingsley decides that women writers and directors make the best movies and we hear writers Tracy Chevalier and Lionel Shriver discuss the plot of one of the best-loved classics in English Literature. 

In the Cameroon there is a new trend towards Hip Hop music, Alicia Keys discusses how good it is to release another album, Mexican film actress Salma Hayek highlights  the picture tableaux in her new film about ancient fairy tales, and we listen to Senegalese superstar Baaba Mal perform to a live audience.
