Clare English is joined by chef Thomasina Miers, who shares her love of Mexican cuisine, plus Peggy Brunache and John Quigley show her how to make salsa, guacamole and mole sauces.

Chilli, fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, tacos â€" family friendly, wonderfully hands-on, messy, fun and fabulously tasty, who doesn't love a bit of Mexican grub?! But instead of reaching for a box of supermarket mix and a jar of salsa why not make your own? 

This week's Kitchen CafÃ(c) is all about providing a kit of parts for the ultimate home-made Mexican feast. Top tv chef and food writer Thomasina Miers will be sharing her long held love of Mexico and its food, we've got the recipe for a fantastic filling for tacos from cook Peggy Brunache and chef John Quigley's on hand to show Clare just how easy it is to make salsa, guacamole and mole sauces from scratch. 

So bin that tin, park that packet and get re-frying those beans. Don't say 'where's the tin opener' do say 'do you want a Mojito while you cook?' and make tonight all about Mexico!
